“The best teacher in the world is somebody who loves what he or she does and loves it in front of you.”
— Mister Rogers
As a music educator, I have always been passionate about helping students find joy in making music. Whether they are just beginning their musical journey or have been playing for quite some time, making music can be a fun and rewarding experience they can take with them for a long time. Finding their unique voice in making music is crucial to being able to express themselves truly.
With my experience teaching students of all levels, I use these concepts to help them build their confidence in making music:
- Developing a Strong Foundation on their Instrument
- Building Comprehension of Musical Styles and Literacy
- Engagement through Problem-Solving and Evaluation
- Facilitating Collaboration and Musical Performance
With these tools, my students become better musicians making them appreciate the art of making music. Not only do they play their instrument at the highest level possible, but they also find their meaning and enjoyment in making music for the rest of their lives.
My commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in music education has become an essential focus in my teaching and performance career. I want all my students to feel welcome and supportive regardless of race, gender, religion, and cultural background. I encourage my students to feel safe sharing their own life experiences and questions to help establish a positive learning environment in making music.
If you are interested in wanting to learn saxophone, flute, or clarinet. I would be thrilled if you consider joining our growing and nurturing music studio.
